Another piece done at work that I can now release, as it's live on the website. Done as part of a project to make the loading screen more attractive than it's previous black screen and red block bar! Players now get a cycle of three images based around various forms of combat and exploration in RuneScape. This image is from the dungeoneering style of combat, in a group, against one of the demon prince bosses, Frostshatter.
Done in about 2 days in photoshop.
Image is copyright to Jagex, 2010.
Edit: woah! DD... that was totally unexpected! Thanks for all the love guys <3
Edit 2: Please guys, stop telling me this isn't my work. I work for Jagex - have done since June 2008. Up until Jan 2011 I worked as senior concept on the RS team and am responsible for not only this, but the other two images when you load the game, as well as the image of the mage on the main RS site.
So you DID pass that interview. (I wish I'd done my homework before asking!) I thought your style was familiar, but I had to be sure!
And now that I know who you are, let me tell you personally (rather than rambling on forums) how freaking awesome your work is, and all of the new armor concepts (since I now know you're heading up that team.) The stuff you guys are designing looks amazing, and I'm happy that Runescape is finally getting the hardware to implement the concept art well. (Once upon a time, we were lucky if it resembled it!)
I know that the new direction has some criticism, but it isn't well-thought criticism, and it mostly comes from people who blame it for FPS or just aren't ready for some much needed updating. Seriously, most players I talk to are in love with just about everything, and I hope you are able to see that and can be encouraged to keep doing what you are doing.
Who was behind Zuriel's? I think that's my favorite of the bunch, though Dragon chain and Armadyl are quite epic, also. I can't wait to see what's in store for the god capes!
PS: appropriately intimidating perspective, here! Those demon bosses don't mess around. >< (I'm glad I mage my dungeons!)

And The Builder said: "If the foundation is weak, do you wail and gnash your teeth; do you ask it to repour itself? Nay. You tear it down and begin anew. So shall it be with all my children, whether they be stone, or flesh."
For a fact. I'd be so damn scared to fight that thing. Secondly i LOVE detail on... erryything? I like how the monster is so HUGE and the heroes are in the corner... with a little flicker of bright light. I hope they win
Love love this. The texture on everything, especially the FUR and the ROCK are really nice.. omg. umm faved? Yes
Dungeoneering was the only thing that really kept me playing, everyhting about it just looks amazing, much more polished than the other stuff on RS Great job!
If you read any of the comments below, you'll see that I currently work at Jagex... I did the picture as part of my work as senior Concept Artist on RS. I did all three loading screen images, including this, the one in the temple of light and the one of the mage Ariane fighting the undead horde. Please read before you make accusations like that I get tired of repeating myself.
